The voters of Pierce County used Ranked Choice Voting to elect their County Executive, County Council and other county level officers in 2008. This site discusses the Ranked Choice Voting races in Pierce County as well as other jurisdictions considering RCV around the state of Washington.
The Clallam County Charter Review Commission has proposed six charter amendments to the voters. One of them is to implement ranked choice voting in Clallam County.
Clallam County could become the second county in the state of Washington to use instant runoff voting or ranked choice voting to elect their county level officials.

The Clallam County Charter Review Commission voted on July 2 to put a Charter Amendment on the ballot allowing Clallam County to use Instant Runoff Voting (or Ranked Choice Voting) to elect their public officials.
This ballot proposition will be on the November 2007 ballot in Clallam County. Congratulations to Clallam County!

There is currently a Clallam County Charter Review Commission hearing testimony about changes to their charter. Ranked Choice advocates led by Nelson Cone are advocating a Pierce County style ranked choice voting amendment be put on the ballot in November.
